When you choose the Kulāiwi Connection, you are supporting and recognizing the need to protect and preserve our precious natural resources. You are not just embarking on a tour or visit. You are joining a movement that celebrates Hawaiian heritage, traditions, and community.
Currently we offer one guided tour a week, lasting approximately 2 hours.
These rates are reserved for Hawai’i Residents only and must show local I.D at check in.
Kulaiwi Connection does not currently provide transportation to our visitors. Customers will need to drive their own vehicles.
Check-in will be at the Kumano I Ke Ala office located at 9922 Waimea Road, Waimea, HI 96796.
From here, you will follow your tour guide to the farm location, about 1 mile away.
Food is not provided. It is suggested to bring your own snack/water. We provide a list of local eateries within Waimea Town as well as within a 10 minute drive from Waimea.
To book your tour, please click here. We require a valid credit card to hold the reservation. Reservations must be made within 48 hours of the tour date.
If you must cancel your reservation for any reason, we ask that you call us no less than 7 days prior to your tour date. Reservations canceled with less than 7 days notice are subject to a cancellation fee.
If a party does not show up for a scheduled tour, the full tour price will be charged to the credit card on file.

We recommend comfortable footwear and sun protection for all experiences. You will be in the sun and walking/working on uneven farmland. Please bring your water bottle to stay hydrated and be mindful of your physical limits. You will get dirty on work and volunteer days. Always bring a positive attitude and an open mind.
We pride ourselves in providing authentic experiences guided by members of our team who are members of our community that are parents, teachers, and farmers.
Self-guided tours do not provide visitors experiences connecting with place and people in the most authentic and respectful manner and we advise against this.
Tours are in the morning and run approximately 2 hours long.
